CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

I. TALENT SEARCH COMPETITIONS :

To bring out the hidden talents of the students, the school conducts competitions every year in various fields like dancing, drawing, elocution (Tamil and English), Essay Writing (Tamil & English), Singing, Mono - Acting, Instrumental Music and Fancy dress.

II. CLUBS :

To make our Education socially relevant and to assist our students to grow beyond their text books, we have floated four clubs-the Einstein club, the Escande club, the Eco club (Green Army) and the C.V. Raman club. Students are actively encouraged to join these clubs. Quiz club is introduced in our school. English club was inaugurated last year and functioning effectively.

III . ARTS AND SCIENCE EXHIBITIONS :

Again, to give a practical dimension to the education we conduct Art and Science Exhibitions. These exhibitions provide an opportunity for the students to think innovatively with what they have learnt and to exhibit the project of their creativity.

IV. N.C.C., N.S.S., NGC., C.T.C. & S.P.C., E.G.C.

In order to mold our students as active servants and soldiers of our society even at the school level, we have three units of the National Cadet Corps (Army, Navy & Air Wing), the National Service Scheme (N.S.S.), Eco Green Club (EGC) the Children Traffic Corps (CTC), (SPC) Students Police Cadets which bags many awards every year.

V. FIELD TRIPS AND TOURS :

In keeping with the objective of taking education beyond the bounds of class - room, the school arranges regular field trips and educational tours for students.

VI. SPORTS :

Our school has always had a high tradition of excellence in sports. There are regular physical education classes and the members of various teams and individual events are given special coaching to distinguish themselves in the inter school and state level competitions. This has brought us the trophy for the best school in sports and games in Pondicherry every year.
